Try this free activity, one of the tasks within Swirly Spanish, to see how game-based learning can help Spanish students construct sentences to practice learning colors, parts of the body and clothing.

You witnessed a theft and you're now at the police station where a sketch artist is trying to draw a picture of the thief you saw. On the left side of your screen is what you recall the thief looking like. On the right side of your screen is what the sketch artist has currently drawn. You need to tell the artist the alterations needed to make the two pictures match.

Form sentences you want to tell the sketch artist in the sentence construction panel found in the lower right corner of the screen. Orange buttons indicate words or phrases availible for the current point in the sentence you are constructing. As you click the orange buttons, new options will appear showing the possible options for completing your sentence.

To see the remaining mismatches between the theif you saw and the current drawing, click the menu icon in the upper right.

To practice speaking, simply leave the mouse cursor over the microphone icon and say any of the words on the orange buttons.
